Scott Jones


My passion lies with 3d modelling, which I have been doing now for approximately six years. My main speciality is hard surface modelling and I particularly enjoy creating environments and vehicles.

I have worked on two AAA titles for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console and an unreleased Xbox Live Arcade title while working for Volt Europe, Microsoft's quality assurance division. Whilst employed with Volt I was based at Rare Ltd and worked on the popular Viva Piñata series working on both the original title and its sequel 'Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise'.

I have recently completed a 3 year degree at Staffordshire University where I studied BSc Computer Games Design and graduated with first class honours.

As part of my university course I carried out research into modularity within computer games. My dissertation can be downloaded in a PDF here (9MB).

Although my main area of expertise is within the modelling of environments and vehicles, other skills which I possess include animation, rigging setups and low poly modelling for portable devices; examples of which can be found here.
